Meet a graduate

Saurin Tailor is an acquisition surveyor in our Altrincham office in the United Kingdom. Here’s his story about kick starting his career with a world-class provider of infrastructure delivery services.

saurinSaurin joined Daly International in 2013. He studied real estate at the University of Salford, with a view to become a chartered surveyor in the property sector.

“I wasn’t familiar with the telecommunications sector and the role Daly International played”, said Saurin.

However since joining Daly International, he has taken part in the four-stage graduate training program, giving him the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the telecommunications market while developing his skills through on-the-job experience.

“I enjoyed learning about various segments of the telecoms industry. It brought me out of my comfort zone — and I enjoyed the challenge.”

Although he’s worked on several major projects, most of Saurin’s time has been spend on the EE decommissioning project — the largest decommissioning project in the United Kingdom.

“I worked on the front end, contacting landlords to find cost savings for the company. It involved reading through various lease agreements to begin dialogue with landlords.”

Saurin describes the Daly International culture as friendly, open and hard working.

“The friendliness of the team certainly helped my early months of settling in — a positive factor as you adapt to a new place of work and new people”, he added.

When asked what potential graduates should know about Daly International, he said, “It’s been a steep learning curve, but I’ve enjoyed my experience. Daly International is a thriving company with many projects ongoing providing various roles in different segments.”

It’s an exciting time to join Daly International in the United Kingdom. We’re winning major projects, growing quickly, and we have a wide variety of career opportunities available.
